Practice Policies

Welcome to Tü_th Specialised Dentistry. To provide you with the best possible care and service, we have outlined our key policies regarding payments, medical aids, guarantees, cancellations, and illness notifications. Please take a moment to review these policies. If you have any questions, feel free to contact our team.

Payment and Medical Aid Policy

  • Payment Method:
We operate as a private dental practice and accept payment exclusively via electronic funds transfer (EFT). Payment is required at the time of your appointment.
  • Private Rates:
Our fees are based on competitive private rates designed to reflect the quality and advanced technology we provide.
  • Medical Aid Claims:
We are registered with all major medical aids. After your visit, we will provide you with a detailed statement (proof of payment and treatment codes) so you can submit a claim to your medical aid for reimbursement according to your plan’s benefits.
  • Transparency:
We believe in clear communication regarding costs and will provide you with an estimate before treatment begins to help you plan accordingly.

Guarantees and Warranties

At Tü_th Specialised Dentistry, we stand behind the quality of our work and materials. To give you confidence in your treatment, we offer the following guarantees:

  • Scope of Guarantee:
Our guarantees apply to restorative and prosthetic treatments such as fillings, crowns, bridges, veneers, dentures, and implants.
  • Duration:
    Guarantee periods are as follows:
    • Fillings: 6 months
    • Removable Dentures: 1–2 years
    • Crowns, Bridges, Veneers: 1–3 years
    • Dental Implants: 3–5 years (dependent on manufacturer and care)
  • Valid Conditions for Repair or Replacement:
The guarantee covers repair or replacement due to defects in materials or workmanship, or failure of the dental work to perform as intended under normal use, provided that:
    • You attend regular check-ups and hygiene appointments as advised.
    • You maintain good oral hygiene and follow all care instructions.
    • The affected dental work has not been damaged by trauma, misuse, or neglect.
    • You use any recommended protective devices, such as night guards for bruxism.
    • All remedial work is performed at Tü_th Specialised Dentistry.
  • Additional Costs:
In some cases, repairs or replacements may require laboratory or third-party fees. We will absorb 50% of these costs to reduce your financial burden.
  • Exclusions:
    The guarantee does not cover:
    • Damage caused by accidents, trauma, or neglect.
    • Biological factors such as gum disease progression, new decay, bruxism-related wear, or natural tissue changes.
    • Work performed or repaired by other providers.
    • Temporary restorations or root canal treatment outcomes.
  • Examples of Biological Factors Affecting Treatment:
    • Gum tissue recession or bone loss due to periodontal disease
    • New dental caries developing after treatment
    • Changes in bite or jaw function due to bruxism or parafunctional habits
    • Systemic health conditions such as diabetes or osteoporosis impacting healing
    • Natural aging processes affecting oral tissues
  • Important Note on Individual Variability:
Every patient’s mouth is unique and dynamic; oral structures and functions can change over time due to factors such as stress, habits, or life changes. For example, if a crown repeatedly becomes loose or dislodged, this may be related to bruxism or changes in jaw function that were not initially apparent. Such conditions can develop later and affect treatment longevity. We encourage open communication and collaboration so that any emerging issues can be addressed promptly through appropriate corrective measures, ensuring the best possible long-term outcomes.
